Palgrove’s Royal Collection Female Sale

Sale Highlights:

The sale topped at $22,500 for the Pick of the Herd. Well known Victorian Charolais stud breeder, Graeme Cook and family, Rangan stud purchased the right to select any female in our herd and we are sure that Graeme will enjoy the challenge. Graeme has built a formidable herd on his property near Wodonga in the last 6 years or so, with his pedigrees based heavily on Palgrove genetics. We wish him well with his choice.

Lot 2 was secured for $15,500 by long time Palgrove supporter Chester & Jan Scriven, Meribah Charolais and this young Sydney Royal Show Urquhart and Hordern Trophy winner will take up donor dam duties for her new owner after she calves. We are sure that her excellent bull calf will be seen at a Royal Show or two in the next few years.

Lot 3 sold for $17,000 to Ross & Paula Warren, Elridge Charolais, Gympie and we are thrilled to hear that this beautiful cow and calf will be shown by her new owners at the Gympie Feature Show in May 2010. The picture perfect heifer calf at foot should be extremely competive in the show ring herself in the next few years.

Another of the show team, Lot 27 was sold to Jim Wedge & Jackie Chard, Ascot Charolais for $16,500 and will no doubt head to Brisbane Show this year. We look forward to watching the progress of this stylish young heifer as she matures and calves.

The sale averaged $6,900 and recorded a 100% clearance. We would sincerely like to thank both new and repeat buyers from all around Australia and all underbidders for your continued support of Palgrove’s breeding programme. The online auction allowed breeders to register and bid from all Australian States, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
