PALGROVE DINKUM SELLS AT EKKA SALE
As part of a special Brisbane Show Gala event, the Charolais Society will be conducting the breed’s first Charolais Ekka Sale on Thrusday 5th August on the showgrounds.
Palgrove Dinkum has been selected to be one of only 13 bulls to be offered for sale on the night. The aim of the sale is to present Charolais genetics for sale that backup the breed’s objectives to produce industry focused bulls to both commercial and stud producers.
Palgrove is selling one of the best polled, Red Factor bulls ever offered for sale - with the numbers, pedigree and phenotype to rank him as an exceptional sire of the future.

Scone Bull Sale - Friday 4th June 2010
Palgrove presented an even line of low birth weight, moderate framed Charolais and Charolais/Angus Hybrid bulls at its inaugural Scone Bull Sale on Friday 4th June 2010. All bulls sold at auction and averaged $6,125.
The temperament of the bulls was described as exceptional and many in the draft were polled. The average age of the bulls was 20-22mths and the Charolais bulls were fully performance recorded with Breedplan and all bulls had exceptional scan and weight data. 89% of the Charolais bulls in the sale were above breed average for Fat Cover, while 60% of the Charolais bulls were below breed average for low Birth Weight.
Palgrove was proud to present this exceptional line of bulls with buyers impressed with how well the bulls fit into the domestic and export market requirements of the Hunter Valley.

Private Sale Cattle 2010
Palgrove always has paddock bulls for private sale. We currently have approximately 200 Charolais bulls 16-20 months - all ready to go straight to work and are priced from $3,000. The majority of our bulls are located at "Rhodesia", Emerald and "Killaloo", Drillham. We also have bulls available for inspection at "Mountview", Ben Lomond, NSW and "Strathgarve", Via Warwick.
There are 150 Charbray bulls, 10 Charolais/Shorthorn Hybrid Bulls and 50 Charolais/Angus Hybrid Bulls available any time, aged 16-20 months. These bulls are priced from $2,500 and can be inspected at anytime at "Rhodesia" Emerald, "Killaloo", Drillham or "Strathgarve" Dalveen.
We also have lines of commercial and stud Charolais females for sale, either Preg tested in calf or unjoined. These can be drafted into lines or sold individually.
